He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Carmer and Grace Carmer Sr. (Moore); and his siblings, Bev Stepanek, Carolyn Oler and Kevin "Bear" Carmer.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny Carmer (Brandi) of Aurora, Dennis Carmer Jr. (Heidi) of Ely, Michael Carmer of Cedar Rapids and Shawn Carmer (Chelsea) of Lisbon; his grandchildren, Sean, Jonathan, Nicholas, Ashton, Dallas, Gabe, Preston, Gavin and Connor; his siblings, Delbert "Butch" Carmer, Jr. (Janet), Tom Carmer, Laurie Schulze and Teresa Gordon (Gary); and his pet Sandy.
