She was predeceased by: her parents, Spiros Karavas and Magdaline Karavas (Vasilakos); her husband Nick Margellos; her son John "Ziggy" Margellos; her siblings-in-law, John Poulos and Billie Igo; and her pet Sassy.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Margellos of Cedar Rapids and Peter Margellos (Lori) of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughters, Anastasia Margellos of Cedar Rapids and Madison Lockwood of Chicago, Illinois; her siblings, Elaine Poulos of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Adam Karavas (Sandy) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her sister-in-law Anthe Kollias of Muncie, Indiana; and her pet Koukla. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
