We bid farewell to Debra Michelle Nachazel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 30, 2024 at the age of 51. Debra touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, James, Ella Nachazel, Alfred and Marie Yuska. She is survived by: her daughters, Morgan and Ava Olsen; her siblings, Kathy Smith (Brad), Kristin McElwee (Jason), Bryan Nachazel (Jessica), Mark Nachazel (Tammy) and Maria Pettit; her stepsiblings, Emily Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Kate Johnson (Corey), Brian Barnard (Melissa) and Aaron Barnard (Angie); the father of her children Keith Olsen; her parents, Bernard Nachazel (Susan) and Judith Yuska Nachazel (Bob); and her former husband Keith Olsen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A vigil service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Teahen Funeral Home (3100 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Xxiii Catholic Church (8100 Roncalli Dr SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
Memorials may be directed to the family for an established memorial fund.
