He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Scheer and Vivian Scheer (Lewis); his wife Wendy Scheer; his brother-in-law Gordon Wilhelm; and his sister Bernita.
He is survived by: his brothers, Harold Scheer (Eunice) of Hills, John Scheer (Sue) of Ashland and Mark Scheer (RuthAnn) of Lisbon, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Wilhelm of Cedar Rapids, Steve Krebs (Diane) of Solon and Brian Krebs of Cedar Rapids.
