He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Clair and Eugenia Elizabeth Carlin (Horkheimer); and his brother Greg Carlin. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Jerry Carlin, Dave Carlin, John Carlin, Travis Neumann, Carrie Schroeder (Thomas) and Patrick Carlin (Brooke); and his brothers, Don Carlin, Patrick Carlin (Melba) and Stephen Carlin (Deb). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
