He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schick and Lousetta Schick (Driscoll). He is survived by: his sister Maureen Schick. He is also survived by many aunts, and cousins.

A rosary was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Stewart Baxter Funeral Home (1844 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church (1224 5th St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403).
