We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2023, at the age of 72, Dan Schmidt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary E. Schmidt (Martin) and Stanley T. Schmidt; and his uncle Robert H. Martin. He is survived by: his former wife JoAnn Hoffpauir; his children, Travis Hoffpauir (Theresa), Anna Schmidt (Kaidyn Hamilton) and Chloe Schmidt; his grandchild Lorelai Schmidt Garrels; his sisters, Jenny Marie Thompson (Dave), Robbie Albertson (Bill) and Deborah Kay Schultz (Randy); and his close friend Doug Stepanek.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
