The memory of Dale Sargent of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 18, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Sargent and Helen Sargent; his wife Eileen Klosterman; and his in-laws, Michael Bergan, Janice Lammers (James), Lary Klosterman and Gary Klosterman.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Sargent (Kris), Steve Sargent (Jeanina), Linda Joerger (Steve) and Brian Sargent; his grandchildren, Matt Sargent (Kristin), Kelsie Sargent, Liz Sargent, Jill Joerger, Anna Joerger (Andrew LaFaver), Ellen Laughlin (Isaac), Ben Joerger and Sara Joerger; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Keegan Sargent; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Bergan and Ruth Klosterman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (212 7th St SE, Mt Vernon, IA 52314). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
