She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Halsted and Fern Halsted (Havens); her former husband Michael Mehaffey; her in-laws, Charles, Patricia Mehaffey, Donald and Shirley Kalvig; her sister Loretta (Bob Zimbelman); her brothers-in-law, Phil Ward, Ted Adkins, Gary Kalvig, Daniel Kalvig and Dana Mehaffey; and her nephew Robbie Zimbelman.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Kalvig; her daughter Christy Maresh (Patrick); her grandson Samuel Maresh (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Rory and Vinton; her son Devin Mehaffey; her granddaughter Estelle Erin; her sisters, Joanne Ward and Barbara; and her in-laws, Clint Kalvig Huxley (Stephanie), Jeff Kalvig Ft (Marlene), Pete Kalvig Virginia Beach, Robin Mehaffey and Patrick Mehaffey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church of Cedar Rapids (220 40th St NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
Memorials may be given in Colleen's name to the many local non-profits that serve Cedar Rapids.
