It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christina E. Betts of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Galveston, Texas, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 33, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Gowan, Catherine Miller and Michiel Vander Zee; her close friend Chad Flory; and her pets, Sweetie, Floppy and Lola.
She is survived by: her husband Mark Betts; her parents, John Vander Zee (Jennifer) and Johanna Sloan (Scott); her siblings, Daniel (Christina), Catherine (Josh), Emily (Kelby), Ella and Michael Vander Zee; her father-in-law Wayne Betts (Diane); her sisters-in-law, Sheila Russell and Tina Plumb; her stepsister Emilia Aleksander (Justin); her close friend Owen Brobst; and her pets, Socks, Shadow, Roscoe and Lucy.
