It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Layne Corey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivar Westlin and Maxine Westlin (Baker); her husband Ron Corey; and her son Greg Corey. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Corey (Lawrence) of Sarasota, Kathy Simmons (Mike) of Cedar Rapids and Jason Corey of Cedar Rapids; her siblings, Mary Ann "Tootie" DeCoster of Moline, Debbie Dejaegher (Joe) of Moline and Steve Westlin of Moline; her grandchildren, Nicholas A. Simmons, Paxton G. Corey, Brooklyn D. Corey, Fallon Layne Corey and Eric A. Simmons; her great grandchild Eli Axel Simmons; and her sister-in-law Jackie Deak of Long Beach, California. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
