He was predeceased by: his mother Adelaide Campbell (Quackenbush); and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his father Earl Campbell; his wife Patricia Garbers; his uncle Chuck; his children, Scott Campbell (Beth), Eldridge, Kirk and Lori Donald (Jeff); his grandchildren, Chelsea Faine (Jeff), Denver, Addie Akin (Mark), Jordan Donald (Cody Fisher), Devon Campbell (Jenna) and Jake Donald (Carolyn Simon); his great grandchild Selah Akin; and his siblings, Jack, Florence Rippel, Marcia Relf, Vinton and Lois Purdy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.
