With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Gray of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on November 13, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Carolyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carolyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carolyn leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond "Whitey" Wilson and Clover Wilson (Penman). She is survived by: her husband Rich; her sons, Eric Upchurch (Julie) of North Liberty and Jason Upchurch of North Liberty; her sisters, Marilyn Miller (Ted) of Phoenix, AZ and Judi Erickson (John) of Des Moines, IA; and her grandchildren, Ethan Upchurch of Coralville, IA and Lauren Upchurch of Iowa City, IA. She is also survived by two nephews and a niece.
