It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bonita Faye (Wenger) Carpenter-Ikeda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Wenger and Beulah Wenger (Harness); and her former husband Lyle Harding Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Akio Ikeda; her sister Rhonda Whitehead (Calvin); her children, Michael Carpenter (Melissa) and Megan Haigh (John); her stepchildren, John Ikeda (Sandy), Andrea Ikeda, Stephanie Willits (Robert) and Deborah Stevens; and her grandchildren, Vivienne, Robert Carpenter, Brynn, Tristan, Sullivan Haigh, Kyra, Haley and Devin Ikeda.

Memorials may be directed to Hillside Wesleyan Church in honor of Bonnie.
