She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Severtson and Minerva Severtson; and her children, Darlyn Grulke Sparr and Dennis Grulke. She is survived by: her husband Emil Grulke; her children, David Grulke (Linda) of West Allis and Dawn Grulke Hysler of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law Lisa Forschler of Oskaloosa; her sister Carol Manske (Marvin) of Kelley; and her grandchildren, Beth Trippe (Don), Joy Mick (Neil), Laurel Grulke, Heather Wild (Seth), Carl Grulke (Kelsey), Lisette Metz Grulke, Jeremy Gruettner, Matthew Grulke, Lane Johnson (Mike), Caleb Grulke (Kelsey) and Luther Grulke (Lauren). She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous in Monticello, Iowa or a charity of the donor's choice.
