She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville McDonald and Wilma McDonald (Murfield); her husband Earl Lagerquist; her siblings, Corrine Strong (Bill) and Doug McDonald; and her brother-in-law Chuck Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Schlenker (David) of Ankeny, Sally Cross (Mark) of Cedar Rapids, Greg Lagerquist (Mary) of Marion, Stacy Andersen (Michael) of Marion and Sandra Lagerquist of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Zachary Cross, Erin Davis (Craig), Tyler Lagerquist, Ryan Andersen (Cayla), Katie Agnew (Trevor) and Ashley Peterson (Kurtis); her great grandchildren, Kresten, Reagan, Laney and Nash; her siblings, Lanny McDonald (Sue) of Arcadia, Oklahoma and Sue Collins of Concordia, Kansas; and her sister-in-law Rosie McDonald. She is also survived by extended family including nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials in Barbara's memory may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, the Mercy Center for Memory Health, or to the Encore Aging Luncheon at Lowe Park through the Heritage Area Agency.
