It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alden Benjamin Andersen Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden Benjamin and Gertrude M. Andersen (Baldwin); and his sister Donna Mae Newhard. He is survived by: his wife Paula Andersen; his children, Brian Andersen (Tricia) of Cedar Rapids, Stephen Andersen (Tammy) of Cedar Rapids and Lori Slaymaker (Steve) of Marion, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan, Alexandra, Haley and Sydney.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
In lieu of flowers or money donations, the family asks that you bake cookies for your local firefighters.
