With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alan Steil (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), born in Charles City, Iowa, who passed away on December 29, 2019 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Steil and Ann Steil (Harms); his wife Darlene Sturges; his son James "Jimmy" Dean Steil; and his sister JoAnn Hamann.
He is survived by: his sons, Al Steil (Michelle) of Cedar Rapids and Jason Steil (Kelli) of New Sharon; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Rae Steil, Alan "Blake" Steil, Shayla Dawn Van Wyk (Jordan), Jaydyn Wayne Steil and Alyxandrea Lyn Steil; and his siblings, Carol Janssen of Charles City and Donnie Steil of Louisiana. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
