She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Abkes and Ethel Abkes (Blum); and her grandparents, Lester, Ethel McCombs, Theo and Alice Abkes.
She is survived by: her husband David Combs; her pets, Lizzie and Molly; her daughters, Jackie Heath (Brett) of Cedar Falls and Dawn Anderson of North Liberty; her granddaughters, Becca Burr (Nick Whitmore) of Joliet, IL and Renee Burr of Janesville; her niece Kristle Bollans (Jeremy) of Madison, WI; and her brothers, Clayton of Denver, CO, Douglas (Ione) of Waterloo and Bruce Abkes (Tracie) of Cedar Rapids.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home (1825 W 12th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice in Vicki's memory.
