She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Christensen and Agnes Christensen; her husband James "Jim" Dow; and her siblings, Carl, John Christensen, Annette Minikus, Rosemary Christensen and Esther Bandfield.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Iver (Doug) of St. Charles, MO, Teresa Pratt (Jeff) of Cedar Falls, Steve Dow of Waterloo and Tim Dow of Cedar Falls; and her grandchildren, Rob Iver (Irene), Dan Iver (Analycia), Jessica Iver, Brian Bolin, Brent Bolin, Amy Dow-Kluesner, Eric Dow and Alex Dow. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to establish a lasting memorial in her name at a later date.
