It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shane Babcock of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on April 25, 2024, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Shane may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shane touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Shawn Babcock and Patricia Babcock (Beard); and his sister Shelly Babcock. He is survived by: his son Schuylar Babcock of Cedar Falls; his siblings, Shannon Habinck (Gene) of Cedar Falls and Shay Babcock (Annie) of Parkersburg; his stepchildren, Kole Shoars of Cedar Falls and Laney Wright; and his stepgrandchildren, Jasiah Booker of Greene and Alaina Grace Haddad of Greene. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.

“Shane Babcock was prob the coolest guy I've ever known, he was a nice guy, a man of his word, Shane never did anybody wrong , he was a dear friend of mine for many many years , he was an awesome father , grandfather, g.Grandfather , everything he did he did for his family, I'm saddened by his passing, to have known him is the biggest honor I could have , he helped me out alot with many things , he was always there to help a friend and he will be truly missed by all,love ya brother.
