He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Babcock and Mary Babcock (Harrington); his wife Joan Cook; his sons, Shawn and Kevin Babcock; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jeramy Hummel and Shelly Babcock; his brother Jim (Naomi Babcock); and his brother-in-law Merlin Ackerman.
He is survived by: his children, Kerry Babcock of Cedar Falls, Sheilah Nunnally (Robin) of Cedar Falls, Tammy Holly of Rogers and Tara Meyer (Rex) of Waterloo; and his siblings, Mike Babcock (Christine) of Houston and Coleen Ackerman of Shell Rock, Iowa.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
