He was predeceased by: his parents, Marian Jean (Van Buskirk) and Robert Encell Van Voorhis Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Marcy; his children, Sara Sherman (James) of Ames, Amanda Lincoln of Ames and Jeff Van Voorhis (Madison) of Minneapolis; his sister Victoria Van Voorhis of Ames; his grandchildren, Madison, Ethan Roberts of Cedar Falls, Nora and Coen Sherman of Ames; and his nephew Delt. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family, and will be used to fund a scholarship in his name.
