He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Abel and Gretchen Abel (Dohrer); and his wife Barbara Wilder. He is survived by: his daughter Janice Ackelson (John) of Ankeny; his nephew David Kitner (Lynda) of Garrison; and his niece Melody Rodas (Dave) of Edgewood. He is also survived by three grandkids and two great grandkids.
