She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Gebel and Frances Gebel; and her siblings, Donald, Virgil and Rose.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; and her children, Dave Welter of Cedar Falls, Jeff Welter of Ankeny, Mike Welter (Kathy) of Cedar Falls and Nancy Lynch (Tony) of Clinton, Ill.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorials in lieu of flowers: Rita and her family would welcome memorial donations to St. Patrick's Catholic Church to be used to support Catholic Education in the Parish.
