He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Loughren and Mary "Loretta" Loughren (McDowell); his parents-in-law, James and Nora Maloney; his sister Connie; his brother-in-law Greg Fawcett; his sister Sara Hiller; his siblings-in-law, Bill Maloney and Mary Jo McKinney; and his nieces and nephews, Christopher Loughren, Morgan, Caitlin, Kelcie Hiller, Victor Loughren, Jacob Lipski and Shelby Kearns.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Marie Maloney of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Katie Johnson (Craig) of Bondurant, Kevin Loughren of Ankeny and Beth Loughren; his grandchildren, Kelcie Langel (Drew), Luke Loughren, Lydia, Grace and Bridget Johnson; and his siblings, Mary Kay Loughren, Don Loughren, Sr. (Gloria), Marge Loughren, Jim Loughren (Lois), Ken Loughren (Elaine), Janet Whitney (Terry) and Mike Loughren (Dianne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Dick's family for a future charitable donation in his memory.
