With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Schmitt of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on August 7, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thein and Agnes Thein (Majerius); and her husband Richard R. Schmitt. She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Klein (Vern), Kim Schmitt and Dona Gersts; and her sister Gladys Kessler. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Pat Donated her body to University of Iowa where a service for the family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Hospice or The American Cancer Society.
