He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Adolph Heller and Elda Louisa Vorderstrasse; his son Matthew Lee Heller; and his siblings, Henry, Norbert and Ethel Saathoff.
He is survived by: his daughter Kellie Denise Heller Smith (David); his wife Sandra Lee Schoenrock; his grandchildren, Mallory Swenson, Leah Crouse (Alex) and Johanna Berkey (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Rylan, Thayer, Marie, Celia, Claire, Grace and Paige; and his sister Adella Schmidt of Pueblo West, Colorado. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nazareth Lutheran Church (7401 University Ave, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
