He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerd Ihnen and Tinie Ihnen (Siefken); his grandchildren, Karrie, Michael and Ava; his siblings, Eldon Ihnen, Marlys Simmons and Janice Winegarden; and his son-in-law Gene Kruse.
He is survived by: his former spouse Aloha Jean Hatcher; his wife Gloria Kalvig Mullesch March; and his children, Gary Ihnen (Lorraine) of Cedar Falls, Ray Mullesch (Teresa) of Waterloo, Pete Mullesch (Kelly) of Silvis, Larry Mullesch (Lori) of Rock Falls, Illinois, Barb Kruse of Cedar Falls, Anne Stratton of Cedar Falls, Milda Mullesch of Cedar Falls and Chris Floss of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
