We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2023, at the age of 89, Marlys Cook of Cedar Falls, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Auner and Valeda Auner (Squires, family: Grocery); her son Brian Cook; her husband Cecil Cook; and her brother Ray Auner.
She is survived by: her daughter Deanna; her foster daughter Deanna Sullivan (Tom) of Bloomington, IL; her daughter-in-law Susan Cook of Cedar Falls; her children, Bradley Cook (Chris) of Cedar Falls and Gena Bappe (Robert) of Harford, SD; her grandchildren, Alex Oakland (Nate), Brooke Fitts (Beau), Elizabeth Ford (Tyler), Blake Bappe (Sarah), Jeremiah Cook (Cassie), Jennifer Schlotfeldt (Richard), Daniel Sullivan (Lindsay) and Laura Feely (Tom); her nephew Thomas Auner; and her niece Becky Auner-Paulsen. She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
