With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mariam Ethel Mehmen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Christiansen and Ethel Christiansen (Nielsen); her husband Richard Mehmen; her daughter Sandra Fuson; her grandson Alex Hunzeker; her sister Ann Zampini (Mike); and her brother-in-law Gene Balthazor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Nielsen (Stan) of Bettendorf and Linda Mills (Dan) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Matt Nielsen (Nicole) and Lauren Brandt (Neil); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Ryenne, Cayden, Layne, Hailey and Kinsley; and her sister Jeanie Balthazor of Cedar Falls.
