The memory of Lillian Alice Shoemaker of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Lillian Alice may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lillian Alice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Webrand (Nissen) and William Webrand; her spouse Merle Shoemaker; her son Steven; and her sisters, Vera Shaner and Esther Fleshner.
She is survived by: her son David (Polly). She is also survived by four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (718 Clay St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
