He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Carlson and Gladys Klein Carlson; his wife Darlene Lynch; and his brother Robert Carlson. He is survived by: his former wife Delores Prochaska; his children, Paul Carlson (Caryn) of Holly Springs, N. C., Tim Carlson (Cindy) of Cedar Falls and Mari Snyder of Cedar Falls; his stepchildren, Steve Shelton (Elaine) of Waterloo and Julie Hartman (Ed) of Montezuma; his siblings, Gile Carlson of Dunkerton and Janice Williams of Parkersburg; his siblings-in-law, Pat Lynch (Barb) of Waterloo and Doris Carlson of Cedar Falls; and his close friend Shirley Kelling of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
