He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Fischels and Rosella Fischels (Huberty); and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Campbell; his children, Tamara J. Fischels of Evansdale, Scott of Cedar Falls and Kurt Fischels (Paula) of Cedar Falls; his stepchildren, Chad Heinzerling (Carrie) of Waterloo and Vanessa Maxwell (Stephen) of Plano, TX; and his siblings, Marge Meinert of Gilbertville, Betty Becker of Jesup, Rosie Beck (Tom) of Waterloo, Gene (Gloria) of LaPorte City and Junior (Nancy) of Gilbertville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
