He is survived by: his wife Madeline Armstrong; his children, Sue Wood (Shane Fischer), Bill Wood of Blue Springs, MO, Mary Best (Randy) of Lakeville, MN and Tom Wood (Linda) of Bettendorf, IA; his grandchildren, Nick Distler (Emily), Katie Kusch, Billy Wood, Mike Best (Vicky Vargas), Ryan Best (Kiersten), Kelsey Wood and Emily Wood; his great grandchild Ryker Distler; his sister Judy Wise (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Lois Murphy and Beverly Wood.
