He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert Shaw and Pauline Shaw (Hubbs); and his sister Penelope Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Miller of Cedar Falls; his daughters, Michele Letzkus (Kenneth) of Cedar Falls, Jennifer Thierman (John) of Waterloo, Sara Keve (John) of Cedar Falls and Rebecca Adelmund (Scott) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, John Thierman, Ashlyn Keve, Nicholas Adelmund, Kelsi Thierman, Kenadee Letzkus, Jayson Adelmund, Aaden Letzkus and Nathan Keve; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany, Raven and Briana; his siblings, Paula Francis (Jeff) of Walford, Iowa, Bruce Shaw (Yolanda) of Winchester and Dr. Barry Shaw (Dianne) of Birmingham, Alabama.; and his friends, Pete Lampe, Kurt Wamsley and Doug Bull.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a scholarship that will be established in his name at a later date.
