It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonathan J. Lu of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lu Yong Fu and Yang Bao Cong; his wife Sayoko Utagawa of Japan; his children, Alice Pei (Tom) of Cedar Rapids, Caroline Keiser (Doug) of Cedar Falls and David Lu (Mary) of Firestone, CO; his grandchildren, Andrew, Susan, Emily Pei, Erin Haverdink (Jonathan), Brian Keiser (Rebekah), Abigail Keiser, Kristina Williams (Tate) and Morgan Carpenter (Zach); his great grandchildren, Mara Haverdink and Cody Keiser; and his sister Huiliang Lu.

Memorials may be directed to the family where they will be sent for a church plant in Taiwan.
