We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2023, at the age of 86, John Mehlert of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Keystone, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mehlert and Frieda Mehlert; his siblings, Richard, Donald and Phyllis Wyatt; his nephews, Andy Soden and Jimmy Mehlert; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Mehlert and Jan Mehlert.
He is survived by: his wife Garnet Mae Jensen; his children, Michelle Hunt (Russel) of Aurora, IL, Laura Kenney (Matthew) of Golden, CO and Darrin (Pamela) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Brady, Dolan, Tyler, Megan, Lauren, Peter and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Jonathon, Layne, Valerie, Helena and Catherine; his sister Marilyn Soden (David) of Crystal Lake, IL; and his close friends, Woody and Mindy Houser (family: Randy Hatanpa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
