It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Leroy Bentley Jr. of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Bentley and Patricia Bentley (Baker); and his brother James Bentley. He is survived by: his sons, Justin Bentley (Kara) of Cedar Rapids and Jerrad Bentley (Brianne) of Waterloo; his granddaughters, Maelee, Kelby Bentley of Cedar Rapids, Ella and Emmersyn Bentley of Waterloo; his close friend Emily Terpstra of Cedar Falls; his siblings, Jodi Thein of Waterloo and Jason Bentley; and his pets, Lila and Sassy. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (718 Clay St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
