He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Bentley and Patricia Bentley (Baker); and his brother James Bentley. He is survived by: his sons, Justin Bentley (Kara) of Cedar Rapids and Jerrad Bentley (Brianne) of Waterloo; his granddaughters, Maelee, Kelby Bentley of Cedar Rapids, Ella and Emmersyn Bentley of Waterloo; his close friend Emily Terpstra of Cedar Falls; his siblings, Jodi Thein of Waterloo and Jason Bentley; and his pets, Lila and Sassy. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
