It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Jermier of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 92, on April 12, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jermier and Irene Jermier; his siblings, Dorothy Shahan, Kay Zanger, Don Jermier, Mike Jermier, Mel Shahan, Earl Zanger, Dale Groesbeck and Jean Groesbeck (Sharon Jermier); and his great grandchild Maeve Congrove.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Loye; his children, John of Cape Coral, FL, Sara Congrove (Tim) of Lake Quivira, KS, Jim Jermier (Wendy) of Cedar Falls, IA and Steve (Lyndsy) of Norwalk, IA; his daughter-in-law Sue Jermier of Cape Coral, FL; and his grandchildren, Spencer, Zack, Chase, Maggie Congrove, Tyler, Hunter, Colton, River, Riley, Ryan, Allison and Sam Jermier. He is also survived by six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Patrick Catholic Church (705 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Jersey Jermier Athletic Scholarship at UNI foundation, St Pats Catholic Church, Catholic Charities, or Cedar Valley Hospice.
