He is survived by: his parents, Rev. Kenneth Sandlin and Marcia Sandlin (Haupt); and his wife Meridith Sandlin. He is also survived by in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fredsville Lutheran Church (32756 150th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Fredsville Lutheran Church Cemetery (32756 150th St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
