She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer John William and Olive Dorothy Gentz (Holthaus); her husband Arlin Dempster; her son William Dempster; her granddaughter Gina Frederiksen; her great grandchildren, Gracie Hopkins and Harrison Stamatelos; and her siblings, Harlan, Howard Gentz, Martin and Marian Gentz.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Dempster (Mary) of Elkader, Lyle Dempster (Darla) of Parkersburg, Cecil Dempster (Bonnie) of Garnavillo, Ann Pixler of Waterloo, Sharon Everts (Dale) of Cedar Rapids, Alice Tanner (Al) of Cedar Falls, Bonnie Corkery (Keith) of Fairbank and Connie Gergen (Matt) of Janesville. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, and forty-four great grandchildren.
