With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janene Kay Marcussen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on November 28, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Nanke and Aldene Nanke (Rainbow); and her brother Don Nanke. She is survived by: her husband Dick Marcussen of Cedar Falls; her children, Lon Willis of Chandler, Bill Willis (Laurie) of Meridian, Scott Marcussen of Santa Barbara, Kaj Marcussen of Phoenix, Brian Bigelow (Mary) of Auburn, Indiana, Andrea Sanders (Daryl) of Phoenix and Kristin Hildebrand (Carl) of New Braunfels, Texas; and her siblings, Bernie Nanke (Donna) of Waterloo and Kolene Copas (Ed) of Las Vegas, Nevada.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Schools Foundation to naming the new pool/natatorium after Coach Dick Marcussen.
