He was predeceased by: his parents, Walton Bowman and Helen Bowman (Smith); his wife Barbara J. Lamberson; his brother Robert; and his son Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Heidi Aldrich (Stephen) of Cedar Falls, Brian Bowman (Wendy) of Cedar Falls and Amy Mattox (Gregg) of Omaha, NE; and his sisters, Francis Jean Krause of Leasburg, FL and Margaret Juhl (Burdette "Zip") of Inverness, FL.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
