He was predeceased by: his parents, Kasper Fobian and Anna Fobian (Jorgensen); his brother Arnold; and his grandchildren, Bryan, Katherine Fobian and Bill Mays.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kathleen Mervin; his sons, Bryan Fobian (Lynne) and Tim Fobian (Stacie) of Dike; his grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, Alli, Chaz and LeAnne; his brother David Fobian (Linda) of Cedar Falls; and his sister-in-law Norma Fobian of Waterloo. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
