He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Thorp and Esther Thorp (LaGrange); his siblings, Ronnie, Carl, Teddy, Dorothy, Florence and Ellen; his grandsons, Dylan, James and Jordan; and his great grandchild Marco.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Renaud; his children, Dennis Thorp (Suzanne Eades) of Storm Lake, Brenda Hill (Lewis) of Waterloo, Randy Thorp (Laura Holmes) of Maynard and Sandi McCann (Jim) of Waterloo; and his brother Homer Rutledge (Barb) of Thorndale, TX.. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
