She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Foote and Isabel Foote; her husband Ralph Sassaman; and her children, Carol Schirm, Karen Meyer and James Sassaman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Helen Bosley (Herb) of Cedar Falls and Elizabeth Gardner (Dan) of Rowley. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
