She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Schuster and Felecita Schuster; her spouse Cecil J. Burns; her son-in-law Lynn Geiger (Carol); and her siblings, Pauline Groen, Helen St. John, Cleo, Sylvester, Joseph and Wayne Schuster.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Burns (Ann) of Ankeny, Iowa, David Burns (Barb) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Linda Chapin (Ross) of Cedar Falls, Carol Geiger of Cedar Falls and Jim Burns (Barb) of Waterloo.
Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Falls and Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo.
