He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda Lanile Franks McDonald and Gordon Vasco McDonald; and his brother Myron McDonald. He is survived by: his wife Julie A. Hook; his children, Molly Kahler (Shane) of Parkersburg, Corey "Baker" McDonald (Jeff) of Cedar Falls and Katy Davis of Janesville, Iowa; his brother Marlan McDonald of Blue Springs; and his close friend John Luzaich of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
