She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas James and Pearl Solie (Dahle); her husband Wesley Gene Van Gundy; and her siblings, Carl and Lois.

She is survived by: her children, Dave (Deb) of Dike, IA, Dan (Kristin) of Ankeny and Debbie of Marshalltown; her grandchildren, Nicole (Solomon), Amber, Josh, Danielle (Gary), Kailey, Wesley, Chell "Journey" and Tom; her great grandchildren, Shailee and Kyla; and her brothers, Tom (Arliss) of Fort Collins, CO and Howard (Lynette) of Spring Grove, MN..
